On October 16th 2009, St. Joseph Shelter in Mt. Angel Oregon, raised $29,629 in their 1st ProFund Golf Marathon. In a town with a population of less than 4000, the volunteer fundraisers in the event exceeded their fundraising expectations in their first outing! Using a nine hole course, they played 100 holes of golf in about 8 hours. The participants were tired, but excited by the significant success. Just wait ’til next year…

We had…
*16 courageous, champion golfers
*2 awesome “caddies”
*1690 holes of golf played by marathon team (I played 121 holes – second most)
*over $29k in pledges raised by marathon team for the Shelter.
*a volunteer based event – PRICELESS!!!
